Grand Vic bus catches fire
Enquirer staff and news services
AURORA - Forty-nine passengers on the way to the Grand Victoria Casino were treated to some good old Aurora hospitality Sunday after their tour bus caught fire.
Aurora firefighters responded to report of bus on fire at Indiana 1 and U.S. 50 at 6:49 p.m. Sunday and found the brakes on the buses right rear tire on fire, fire officials said. The fire, which caused less than $100 damage, was extinguished quickly and no one was injured.
The passengers, faced with a two hour wait for a replacement bus, were taken to city council chambers and given as tour of the historic building.
