Stravinsky with a twist: It could be a United States first. Percussion Group Cincinnati and the Pridonoff Duo perform a unique version of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring for two pianos and percussion.
The result is stunning and should be quite remarkable, says pianist Eugene Pridonoff, who is joined by his wife and two-piano partner, Elizabeth. Underground movies: Underneath Cincinnati short films and videos return to SSNova, 1749 Chase Ave., at Central Parkway and Brighton, at 8 p.m. Sunday. Cliburn winner visits: Jon Nakamatsu, gold medalist in the 10th Van Cliburn Competition, performs at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, in the Xavier Piano Series. Blues Fest: The Greater Cincinnati Blues Society won the Best Event Award at this year's Cammys for its Queen City Blues Fest. Sunday at Southgate House (24 E. Third St., Newport; 859-431-2201), Twenty Tristate blues acts will compete at the GCBS Blues Challenge for a performance spot at this summer's festival at Sawyer Point. Three bands will be chosen to appear, with the top band winning the honor of representing the society at the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Participating acts include Code Blue, Leadfoot Johnny, Scotty Bratcher Band, Midnite Blue, Blue Eldorado, the Crosstown Blues Band and the Heaters. Music starts at 1 p.m. ($10, with proceeds benefiting the free festival).

"Gleaners' screening: The newly christened Cincinnati World Cinema group presents the documentary The Gleaners and I, by French filmmaker Agnes Varda, 7 p.m. Sunday at the Esquire Theatre, 320 Ludlow Ave., Clifton. A post-screening discussion will feature Therese Migraine-George, assistant professor of French literature at the University of Cincinnati; Ursula Roma, a visual artist, and Margaret A. Patricia Berlin Memorial: Patricia Berlin was a distinguished voice teacher to many singers who went on to international careers. She was the department chair at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for 17 years before her death in September 2000. At 2 p.m. April 14, the Patricia Berlin Memorial Garden will be dedicated in the plaza in front of the Dieterle Vocal Arts Center at CCM. Information: 556-9532.
