Ducks ousted from playoff




        CHICAGO — Zdenek Blatny's goal 2:20 into the third period proved to be the difference, as the Chicago Wolves defeated the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 3-2 in the decisive game of a best-of-3 American Hockey League Western Conference Qualifying playoff series Thursday at Allstate Arena.
        Aris Brimanis and Travis Brigley scored for the Ducks, who opened the series with a 3-2 win Tuesday.

        Jason Elliott turned aside 27 of the 30 shots he faced in the losing effort. He was sent back to the Ducks by the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
