Women honored for athletics

The Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Women's Sports Association, the local chapter of the National Women's Sports Foundation, will host its ninth annual awards at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Radisson Hotel on Chester Road.
The guest speaker will be Nell Fortner, 2000 Olympic Basketball and Indianapolis Fever coach. ESPN's Betsy Ross will emcee the event.
Individual tickets will be available at the door: $20 for students, $25 for adults. Groups, teams, schools and businesses may sponsor tables at a special rate. For more information, call the Sports Association at (859) 572-5193.
This year, the achievements of the following local individuals and coaches will be celebrated:
