Ratings show 'WARM 98' moving up
Media
WARM 98 is red hot, according to Arbitron ratings released Thursday.
WRRM-FM (98.5) finished second to perennial winner WLW-AM (700) in the winter quarter ratings for all listeners age 12 and older, and the 25-54 demographic that most advertisers want.
WEBN-FM (102.7), a consistent second-place station for the past year, fell to sixth among all listeners behind WIZF-FM (100.9), WKFS-FM (KISS107.1) and WUBE-FM (105.1).

WEBN-FM was fourth in the 25-54 demographic, after being first in that category a year ago.
We're absolutely jubilant about the results, says Dan Swensson, general manager of WRRM-FM and MOJO WMOJ-FM (94.9).
The second-place finish was the highest for WARM98 in more than a decade, or maybe two, Mr. Swensson says. And the ratings surge came after WARM 98 replaced longtime morning co-host Jim Smith in late January after a salary dispute.
New York native Dean Miuccio was hired from an Orlando Clear Channel station in March to co-host mornings with Bobbi Maxwell.
Change is never easy. Change can be difficult. We had an opportunity to improve our product in the morning, and that's what we did, Mr. Swensson says.
Sister station MOJO was No. 8 in the overall rankings, and No. 5 with listeners ages 25-54 behind WLW-AM, WARM98, WIZF-FM and WEBN-FM.
It's quite a day when we see MOJO ahead of WUBE-FM, WGRR-FM and WVMX-FM (MIX94.1) in the (25-54) ratings, he said.
Urban contemporary WIZF-FM also had a strong quarter. It jumped to No. 3 from No. 6 last quarter.
Country music B105 rebounded to No. 5, from No. 7 in the fall, while sister Infinity station oldies WGRR-FM (103.5) fell from No. 3 in the fall to No. 7.
