COVINGTON Alleged hit man Ronald Scott Pryor, in a videotaped police interview played in court Tuesday, broke down in tears as he described in detail how he killed Delta Air Lines pilot Stephen Craven nearly two years ago.
The jury in Mr. Pryor's death-penalty murder trial watched as Mr. Pryor held his forefinger and thumb to the head of a detective while describing where he shot Mr. Craven.

The audio portion of the hourlong-plus tape was of poor quality, and much of what Mr. Pryor said while crying could not be heard over the courthouse audio system.
Both Kenton County Circuit Judge Patricia M. Summe and Prosecutor Luke Morgan of Frankfort declined to provide the Enquirer or other media with a transcript of the tape.
Police say Mr. Craven's wife, Adele, and Rusty McIntire hired Mr. Pryor to kill Mr. Craven on July 12, 2000. Mr. Morgan has presented evidence accusing Mrs. Craven and Mr. McIntire of having an affair, including a police report in 2000 accusing the two of having sex in the bed of Mr. McIntire's truck outside St. Pius X Church in Edgewood.
Witnesses testified Mrs. Craven had asked around about a hit.
Pat Magevney of Cincinnati, whose brother-in-law lives two doors from the Craven house, took the stand Tuesday afternoon to describe how Mrs. Craven had tried to get him to kill her husband.
I took it in a joking manner, and said "no,' Mr. Magevney testified.
Vernon Boyce testified that he heard Mrs. Craven say, Does anyone here know a hit man? I'll pay $50,000.
Mr. Boyce, who discovered Mr. Craven's body, is Mr. Magevney's brother-in-law.
Mr. McIntire, 33, of Erlanger has pleaded guilty to murder and is expected to testify against Mr. Pryor and Mrs. Craven. Mrs. Craven, 38, will stand trial separately.
