OXFORD The Elms, a Holiday Inn being built across from the city's new parking garage, will open by July 1, owners said Thursday.
It will be finished in red brick to reflect the 19th-century charm of Oxford's High Street and most of the buildings on the nearby Miami University campus, said hotel spokeswoman Pam Lindley.
The 60-room hotel, at 75 S. Main St., will include 12 suites with queen-sized beds and sofa-bed and kitchenettes. Sixteen suites will have king-size beds, queen sofa sleepers and kitchenettes.
Thirty-four suites will include wet bars, microwave ovens and refrigerators in sitting areas.
Manager Judy Michael said restaurants will include the Chazz, the Three Trees Irish Pub and the Arbor Room banquet facility, all on the second floor, plus a Buffalo Wild Wings sports gathering spot on the lower level facing Walnut Street. The second-floor kitchen will also provide restaurant and catering service for the Arbor Room, she said.
The dining room, pub, banquet facility and kitchen will occupy 11,000 square feet of the hotel's second floor.
Other hotel amenities include a conference room and fitness center.
Ms. Michael has 25 years of experience in hotel management in Cincinnati and Richmond, Ind.
A grand opening will be held in early August.
