Man injured in crash with officer now critical
The Cincinnati Enquirer
An Evanston man was downgraded to critical condition Tuesday night after a Monday crash involving an on-duty Cincinnati police officer.
Jason Biggers, 18, was in the front seat of a car hit by Officer David Osborne, who was headed south on Reading Road about 9 a.m. Officer Osborne, 41, crossed the double-yellow line when he tried to change from the right lane to the left, said Sgt. Bill Coombs of the Cincinnati Police Department's traffic section.
The car in which Mr. Biggers was riding was driven by Rasmenelik Rowland, 18, of Avondale. He and a second passenger, Robert Boston, 15, also of Avondale, both were treated at University Hospital and released.
The officer, on the force since 1989, was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released, as was Aries Bursey, 29, of Bond Hill. Mr. Bursey's car hit Mr. Rowland's car after the initial accident with the cruiser.
No charges had been filed as of Tuesday night.
