NKU baseball plays for GLVC title today
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Shaun Erie had three hits and three RBI and Keith Jackson (St. Xavier) had three hits and scored two runs Saturday as Northern Kentucky defeated Saint Joseph's College 5-2 in the third round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex at Friendship Field.
NKU (34-22) advances to GLVC Tournament championship round beginning at 11 a.m. today. The Norse will play either Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville or Saint Joseph's for the championship.
If NKU would lose the 11 a.m. game, there will be a second game at 2 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament. NKU, No. 25 in the NCAA Division II poll, is seeking its first GLVC championship.
