Hours after being released from jail Saturday, a man armed with a knife held police at bay from his twin brother's Avondale apartment for more than five hours, Cincinnati police said.
Kenneth Isham, 22, was taken into custody about 6 p.m. at the Glenwood Avenue residence. He is charged with felonious assault and obstructing official business.
Mr. Isham is being at the Hamilton County jail and will appear in court today.
It was the second time in less than six months Mr. Isham has been involved in a standoff with police while armed and arguing with his brother inside his brother's residence.
On Nov. 20, SWAT officers were called to Mr. Isham's brother's former apartment at Uptown Towers downtown on West Ninth Street after Mr. Isham entered the unit with a shotgun and refused to leave.
Mr. Isham was convicted in January of inducing panic and sentenced to six months, including time served.
But after being released from jail Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Mr. Isham went to his brother's new apartment in Avondale, and the two argued.
He threatened his brother with a kitchen knife and refused to leave or cooperate with police, according to his arrest report.
After SWAT officers threw a flash bang grenade which emits an explosion and bright flash of light to disorient suspects into the apartment, he came out on his own, said District Four Sgt. John Day.
