Visitors bureau, black group link
Members of the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greater Cincinnati African-American Chamber of Commerce will be offered discounted rates for joining both groups.
The reciprocal membership program announced Thursday aims to attract a broader range of members for both organizations.
The convention bureau's corporate members can join the African-American chamber for one year for a fee of $4,000, a discount of $1,000. The chamber fee for individual bureau members will be $150. The normal rate is $1,000.
Also, chamber members can join the bureau for a one-year fee of $150. Bureau memberships usually start at $435.
DeAsa Nichols-Brown, executive director of the African-American chamber, said the agreement will be a catalyst to encourage conventions and meetings in Greater Cincinnati.
