Ex-employees note Baldwin anniversary
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Baldwin Piano & Organ Co. is no longer based in Cincinnati, but about 170 former employees are gathering here this weekend to mark the 140th anniversary of the company started by D.H. Baldwin.
Baldwin filed for bankruptcy reorganization last May and emerged from court protection last fall after being acquired by Nashville's Gibson Musical Instrument Co. Gibson closed Baldwin's corporate office in Cincinnati.
Seta Music, a new Baldwin dealership that helped organize the reunion, will host former Baldwin CEOs Lucien Wulsin, Morley Thompson and Richard Harrison at its store at 7402 Kenwood Road this morning. A private dinner is tonight in Blue Ash.
