Second grocery to open

Silverglade's plans to open its second mini grocery store downtown at the renovated Power Building.
Al Silverglade said he is negotiating a lease with the developer of the Power Building and hopes to open a 1,600-square-foot store later this year.
The store will be slightly larger than Silverglade's recently opened store at Fourth and Plum streets, which includes a deli, food items and seats for lunch crowds.
It will also put Silverglade's stores in the two most active downtown residential areas: historic Fourth Street and the fledgling St. Xavier Park neighborhood.
Capital Investment Group has almost completed a $15 million overhaul of the former Power Building at Eighth and Sycamore streets. The 117-unit complex, which will be renamed the Renaissance at the Power Building, will open in June. Al Neyer Inc. and North American Properties are developing another 105 apartments one block away at the Krippendorf building, which will be renamed Sycamore Place at St. Xavier Park.
The new store will be open 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The downtown projects will be a big test for the demand of downtown housing. The city of Cincinnati and Downtown Cincinnati Inc. have targeted an eight-block St. Xavier Park area between Procter & Gamble and the Hamilton County courthouse.
Bank One seeks new suburban site
Bank One is looking for a new suburban home for its Greater Cincinnati headquarters.
The bank doesn't want to move far from its Montgomery Road office in Kenwood. It's searching for a 35,000-square-foot office in Blue Ash or along Interstate 71, said Bill Schneller of CB Richard Ellis, the bank's leasing representative.
The firm will consider an existing office or new office under construction. Although several office buildings are planned along I-71, no developer has started construction because of the soft market conditions.
Besse Medical Supply moving to W. Chester
Besse Medical Supply signed a lease to take a 10,000-square-foot office on Union Centre Boulevard in West Chester.
The group will move from Forest Park in July.
The new office at the Centre Point complex will allow Besse to establish a call center that will focus on the sale of vaccines. Mike Hartmann and Bob Ryan of Colliers represented Besse Medical Supply and the landlord.
Family member Brian Besse of Hoeting Realtors has been hired to sell the firm's current building, which includes 20,000 square feet of warehouse and another 10,000-square-foot office on Kemper Springs Drive.
