Every dog has its day at spa

        West-side canines can cavort and congregate at a day-care center in Covedale that opened in April.

        A Doggie's Day Spa provides care from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The facility, at 5090 Crookshank Road, has an indoor play area and outdoor walking space.

        Owner Angela Davenport also offers grooming and training by appointment. Overnight or longer-term care is also available.

Marketing group makes acquisition

        Kennedy & Associates Creative Consultants Group has announced the acquisition of Wilder Fearn Associates of Over-the-Rhine. The purchase is aimed to help Kennedy & Associates broaden its markets and strengthen its presence in both the Cincinnati design community and the packaging industry nationwide.

        Kennedy & Associates, of the West End, specializes in brand creation, package design and print marketing. Clients include GNC, United Dairy Farmers, Procter & Gamble and Caterpillar.

        Wilder Fearn & Associates has worked for 50 years in designing consumer package goods, illustrations and point-of-purchase materials.

Computer seller moves to Columbia Twp.

        Retech Computer Equipment Inc. is celebrating its expansion move from Evendale to Columbia Township with a grand opening this weekend.

        The company, which specializes in upgrades, sales and service of used equipment, tripled its warehouse space and expanded its retail capabilities by relocating to 5147 Kennedy Ave. It offers reconditioned laptop and desktop systems to the public and has recently become an authorized in-store installer of RoadRunner Internet service. By mid-June, customers will be able to order from Retech online at www.RetechComputers.com.

        “We mainly cater to individuals and small- and medium-sized businesses,” owner Michael Sutter said.

        Retech recently launched a service that evaluates the condition of a company's unwanted computer equipment and removes sensitive data. Retech will then sell the equipment on consignment or buy it outright for resale. Information can be found at RetechAssetRecovery.com.

Massage therapist opens Anderson location

        LifeSpring Massage & Therapies LLC has opened a second location at 1060 Nimitzview Drive, Suite 215, off Five Mile Road. Like its original office at 77 Powhatton Road in Milford, the wellness center offers massage therapy and other services including aromatherapy, healing touch and acupuncture.

        “The Anderson area is growing so quickly we knew it would be an excellent location for our second office,” said Laura Esslinger, LifeSpring owner and founder.

        Ms. Esslinger is a massage therapist and physical therapist assistant licensed by the State of Ohio Physical Therapy Board. She has studied neurology, orthopedics and physical disorders.

        The new office will hold grand opening educational events through May and June. Reservations are required.

Web site developer expands services

        Midwest New Media, a Springfield Township Web site development firm, has expanded into a full-service marketing company. The company has added such services as print and graphic design, photography, brand identity development and strategic consulting.

        Founded in 1999, Midwest New Media is jointly managed by Melinda and Tom Nagel and serves Tristate and national clients. Its specialty is helping organizations build a strong corporate image by fusing new technology with traditional marketing and branding methods.

        “We start by examining the goals and ideals of our client, and then we work with the client to develop a cohesive corporate image for them,” Mr. Nagel said. “Our priority is to make sure that everything with their logo on it projects the same attitude and image.”

Consultant explains personality data

        The Association for Psychological Type (APT) has added consultant Lisa Hughes to its Referral Network Program. Ms. Hughes is available for consultation and workshop presentations that help employers and organizations use personality type in improving teamwork, management and organizational development.

        APT promotes the study of Jungian personality type as interpreted through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and other personality type instruments. The Referral Network Program is a national database of professionals qualified to interpret these instruments.

        Ms. Hughes is the head of Worklife Associates of Deerfield Township.

Roly Poly opens Covington restaurant

        Roly Poly Sandwiches has opened a cafe in the Gateway Center at Third and Madison streets in Covington, across from the courthouse and Northern Kentucky Convention Center. Len Ours is the owner.

        The eatery, which seats 40, offers a breakfast menu complete with grilled “egg rolys,” as well as a lunch and catering menu. It's open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday.

        Other Roly Poly Sandwich shops are downtown, in Symmes Township and Blue Ash.
