ASHLAND, Ohio — Nate Moore drove in three runs Saturday as Ashland University (47-11) defeated Northern Kentucky University 6-2 to win the NCAA Division II North Central Region championship and earn a trip to the Division II World Series at Montgomery, Ala.

        Steve Walton had a home run and two RBI for NKU, which finished 37-24. Walton and teammates Jason Martin (Oak Hills) and Pat Eschan were named to the all-tournament team.

        Shaun Erie set an NKU single-season record Saturday by collecting his 83rd hit.
