Starring interns: Ensemble wraps its Off-Center/On-Stage season Wednesday through Sunday with a double bill featuring the theater's acting intern company.
Heaven and Hell (on Earth) is an anthology that includes work of contemporary playwrights including Keith Glover and Rebecca Gilman. The Seven (Deadly Sins) is an original collection of short works written mostly by intern company members.
Tickets $10; 421-3555.
Road trip alert: The Wexner Center in Columbus had scheduled one of the most intriguing regional theatrical events of 2001-02 for late September.
Charlie Victor Romeo, a riveting documentary that depicts airline emergencies from the cockpit perspective, had earned raves (and Drama Desk awards) off-Broadway: CVR is about the triumph of the human spirit ... chillingly realistic.
Then came 9-11.
Audiences had about as much chilling realism as they could take, and CVR was indefinitely postponed. It plays Wednesday through Sunday in the Wexner's Performance Space on the Ohio State University campus.
The cast will lead a question-and-answer session following each performance. A free panel discussion is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday with cast members, aviation industry personnel and emergency medical workers.
Tickets $16. Box office: (614) 292-3535 or reserve through Ticketmaster. Visit Wexner Center at www.wexarts.org.
Funding month: June is Funding for Arts Month! (Be sure to tell donors.) It's a great time to check out the Foundation Center at www.fdncenter.org/focus/arts.
The center's new online database for artists and students (almost 4,800 funding programs) will be free in June, and an arts funding update will be published online, of interest to anyone concerned about trends in giving.
