Promotions & new on the job


        • Andy Jones of International Paper has been named engineering fellow in the energy and chemical recovery solutions group at the Cincinnati Technical Center. Mr. Jones has been an IP employee for five years. He holds a doctorate from the Institute of Paper Chemistry.

        • Laketa Cole has joined Cincinnati Empowerment Corp. as director of community and public relations.

        • Bruce I. Petrie Jr., partner with the law firm Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP, has been appointed president of the Cincinnati Park Foundation, and Anne Fogel-Burchenal and R. Christopher Weber have joined the board of trustees for a three-year term.

        • Princella Gorrasi, Larry Kiefer and R. Joey Luttrell have been named assistant cashiers at Fifth Third Bank.

        • Michael Gibson Holmes, president and founder of Easymail Interactive, has been elected forum leader for the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO). As a forum leader, Mr. Holmes will lead a group fo 8 to 12 members who get together on a monthly basis for confidential business discussions.

        • Cindy-Ann Thomas, an associate in the labor and employment department of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, has been appointed diversity co-chairwoman of the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association board of directors; and Antonia Mitroussia, an associate in the the business and finance department has been appointed secretary of the International Law Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association.

        • James Savage has joined PlanetFeedback as director of marketing analytics and research.

        • Shannon Isaacs, a branch administrator for Comey & Shepherd Realtors for the last three years, is now focused on the sales portion of the business as a full-time residential sales associate affiliated with the West Chester office.

        • Linda Gervers has joined Hixson as business development specialist.

        • Mark Beischl, vice president at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, has been appointed Cincinnati-area director.

        • The following have been elected new board members at 4C, a child care resource and referral agency: Mitchell Robinson, senior vice president and manager of business banking, KeyBank; Terry Bayard Joyner, director of curriculum of Cincinnati Public Schools; Linda Clement-Holmes, director of Central Information Technology of Procter & Gamble; and Kathy Greenwood, who brings experience working with numerous non-profit organizations.

        • Michael D. Wiedower has been named chief operating officer of Sysco Food Services/Cincinnati. Mr. Wiedower joined Sysco's Houston subsidiary as a marketing associate in 1983. He graduated from Texas A&M Uni versity in College Station, Texas, with a bachelor of business administration degree.

        • Cyren'e Cunningham and Nicole Johnson have joined Cornerstone Broker Insurance Services Agency as proposal coordinators; Jill Grim, customer service representative; and Judy Young has been named individual product assistant.

        • Samuel D. Elswick has joined Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP as an associate in the litigation department. Mr. Elswick received his undergraduate degree from Marshall University. He served as a law clerk for the EPA while attending Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

        • Dr. Glenn D. Warden, chief of staff at Shriners Burns Institute, has been appointed to serve as the American Burn Association representative to the American College of Surgeon's board of governors; and Dr. Rich Kagan, assistant chief of staff at Shriners, has been appointed secretary to the association.

        • Jan Armstrong Cobb has been named district manager of the Blue Ash property management office at Real Estate Investment Managers.

        • Ashley Neiman, Maria Felenyuk and Emily Davis have joined LPK (Libby Perszyk Kathman) as creative interns.

        • Geoffrey White and Ward Washington have joined Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP as summer associates.

        • The following have joined Sibcy Cline Realtors as real estate sales associates: Tronda D. Alexander, Harrison; Sharon Chumbley, Fort Mitchell; Christopher G. Cooper, Anderson; Rhonda Fornshell, Lebanon; and Melanie Heinichen Barloh, Kenwood. Tom Neiheisel has joined the Western Hills office as residential real estate specialist; Margaret Harshbarger has been named associate manager of the Eastgate office; and Audrey Masson, associate manager of the Lakota Beckett office.

        • Andrew R. Feinblatt has joined Brandt Retail Group Inc. as sales associate. Mr. Feinblatt graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in marketing and management. He was senior sales representative for Central Steel & Wire Co. in Cincinnati and has eight years of sales experience.

        • John Ataman, Kristie Sheanshang and Jason Bright have been named vice presidents in the business banking unit at PNC Bank.

        • Pat Frew has joined WCET48 as director of arts programming. Mr. Frew was director of marketing — Ohio for Frost Brown Todd as well as serving as the marketing/communication manager for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He is a graduate of Ohio State University, earning a degree in field of journalism.

        • Elected new officers for The Commercial Club: Lee A. Carter, president; Robert H. Castellini, chairman Castellini Co., vice president; Philip R. Cox, president and chief executive officer, Cox Financial Group, treasurer; and Victoria B. Buyniski Gluck man, chief executive officer, United Medical Resources Inc., secretary. Elected executive committee: Dennis C. Cuneo, senior vice president, Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America Inc.; David B. Dillon, president, Kroger Co.; and James M. Zimmerman, chairman and chief executive officer, Federated Department Stores Inc.

        • Robert Pavone, president of Pavone Fite Fulwiler, a marketing communications/branding agency, has received the 2001 Ohio Business Man of the Year Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee in Washington, D.C.

        • Lewis Goldberg, a financial adviser with American Express, has been named a member of the Senior Financial Advisers group, Platinum Team, and Shakeel A. Tanveer, Steve Hawkins and Deloris Hawkins, financial advisers, have been named members of the Senior Financial Advisers group, Gold Team.

        • The following received awards from the American Burn Association: Dr. Alan Holder, director of microbiology and professor of surgical research and microbiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, received the Curtis P. Artz Distinguished Service Award; Dr. Curtis Wray, resident, surgery department, and former resident at Shriners, received the Carl A. Moyer Resident Award; Dr. Michele Gottschlich, director of nutritional services, received the Clinical Research Award; and Theresa Mayes, dietitian at Shriners, received the International Association of Fire Fighters Burn Research Grant Award.
