        Going out — Library sale: The Friends of the Public Library Fountain Square Used Book Sale sells off a zillion books on the cheap. Waaay cheap, including hardbacks, paperbacks, CDs, videos, books-on-tape and more. 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. today, continues through Friday. 369-6035.

        New exhibit: The Hiestand Galleries at Miami University show off works by faculty of the prestigious CraftSummer program. Locals include Arnelle A. Dow and Thom Shaw. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, Maple Street, Oxford. (513) 529-1883.

Staying in

        TV picks: A&E premieres TV-ography, a weekly retrospective on an old TV show, from initial concept through the series finale. First up: The Mary Tyler Moore Show (8 p.m. and midnight, A&E).

        • TV Critic John Kiesewetter also says Marc Summers looks at the history of drive-in restaurants on Drive-ins Unwrapped (9 p.m., Food Network), followed by Hamburgers Unwrapped (9:30 p.m.).

       Opera on sale:
Single tickets go on sale 10 a.m. today for the Cincinnati Opera 2002 Summer Festival at Music Hall. Productions include classics Romeo and Juliet (June 20-28) and Marriage of Figaro (June 27 and 29), plus modern works Dead Man Walking (July 11-19) and Elektra (July 17 and 20). Priced from $14 for upper balcony to $110 for box seats at Music Hall box office or 241-2742.
