What's the Buzz?

Airport named best of the year

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport this week was named “Airport of the Year” by the London-based aviation trade publication Regional Airline World.

The honor was decided by balloting by the magazine's readership, primarily airline and airport executives from around the world.

“This recognition is very important because it is decided by the industry's most discerning critics — aviation experts,” airport aviation director Bob Holscher said.

This is the second year the magazine has given awards. Comair founder David Mueller received the magazine's airline executive award last year.

Last month, Comair president Randy Rademacher was named Regional Airline Executive of the Year by another publication, Regional Airline News.
