Alcohol not factor in dad's, son's drownings
The Associated Press
LAKEVIEW, Ohio Autopsies on a man and his father who drowned in Indian Lake did not reveal that any additional factors contributed to their deaths, authorities said.
The bodies of Kyle Pennington, 33, of Cincinnati, and Larry Pennington, 63, of Columbus, were recovered Monday in a boating and swimming area near Walnut Island, where they disappeared Sunday.
Logan County Coroner Michael Failor said Tuesday it was a simple case of drowning. He said alcohol was not a factor.
Frank Giannola, manager of Indian Lake State Park, said the men drowned in an area where the water was at least 5 feet deep and had an average depth of 6 to 8 feet.
