Charter school's future uncertain despite ruling

A Mount Auburn charter school board will continue making plans for a new educational program and hiring staff following a judge's ruling Thursday.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Norbert Nadel refused a request by the Sabis International School's for-profit management company to stop the board from moving forward with its plans.
An injunction hearing July 2 could decide the school's fate. Meanwhile, parents still don't know if school will open this fall.
I'm in utter shock, said parent Ragina Collins, whose two children attend the school. What are these poor kids going to do?
The board last year terminated the contract with the management company, saying it was too interested in making money from the nonprofit school.
The company, Cincinnati Education Management, a subsidiary of Minnesota-based Sabis Educational Systems Inc., sued to have the board's decision overturned.
