Cincinnati man dies in crash; 10 injured
Two minivans collide in Turtlecreek Township

TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP A Cincinnati man was killed and 10 others injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening at the intersection of Ohio 741 and Ohio 63 in Warren County.
The crash involving two vans occurred about 6:25 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The 10 injured included three adults and seven children.
The victim, Alejo H. Cortes, 36, of Cincinnati, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner's Office, the highway patrol said.
The crash occurred when a 1996 Dodge Caravan traveling west on Ohio 63 ran a red light and struck a 1998 Ford Windstar traveling southbound on Ohio 741, police said.
The victim was the driver of the Windstar.
Injured in the Windstar were Melinda Cortes, 34, Nichole Cortes, 14, Selena Cortes, 2, and Alexa Cortes, 7 months, all of Cincinnati.
They were being treated in the emergency room of Middletown Regional Hospital late Saturday.
Ashley Cortes, 12, and Courtney Cortes, 9, both of Cincinnati, were in fair condition at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati.
Those injured in the Caravan were Lancan Holbrook, 34, Niquel Binder, 31, and Amanda Binder, 6, all of Fremont. The three were treated in the emergency room of Middletown Regional Hospital late Saturday.
Another passenger in the Caravan, Samantha Clonch, 8, of Fremont was treated at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Dayton.
The crash remains under investigation.
