Staying in

        TV picks: Have fun, fun, fun watching The Beach Boys: The E! True Hollywood Story (8 p.m. and 10 p.m., E! Entertainment), a two-hour retrospective with new and archival comments from the band members.

        • TV Critic John Kiesewetter also says Channels 48 and 54 premiere Endgame in Ireland, the Peabody Award-winning documentary about the Northern Ireland peace process (9-11 p.m.), while Dayton's Channel 16 repeats the first half of Ken Burns' Mark Twain (9-11 p.m.).

What's in stores today

        In celebration of the recent World Cup frenzy, Electronic Arts and LEGO Interactive have released Soccer Mania (ESRB-rated E), a fast-paced arcade soccer-style video game. The game's vibrant graphics and “anything goes” style of gameplay provides hours of fun. Games take place in 23 unique stadiums like cowboy forts, outer space and mystery islands. Available for PCs and Game Boy Advance ($29.95 each) and PlayStation 2 ($39.95).

        24 hours out: Acclaimed author Vivian Schilling is at Joseph-Beth Booksellers introducing her new novel Quietus, 6-8 p.m. Monday, Rookwood Pavilion, Norwood. 396-8960.

        48 hours out: The Reduced Shakespeare Company is in town for their brand new show The Reducers: All the Great Books (abridged), a distillation of the greatest achievements in world literature, 8 p.m. Tuesday, Robert S.         72 hours 'til Wednesday: The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra heads to the 'burbs for a free community concert featuring works by Beethoven, African-American composers George Walker and Jamayal Douglas, traditional gospel works and more, 7:30 p.m., Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 9991 Wayne Ave., Woodlawn. 381-3300.
