TRENTON With the help of residents and Cincinnati Crime Stoppers, police here snared a man sought for 10 months in connection with a 1999 accident in which three people were killed in Scioto County.

Teddy Mosley, 22, of Sinking Spring, Ohio, was arrested late Monday at a home in the 800 block of Charles Street on warrants from the south-central Ohio county, said Police Chief Rodney Hale. He was taken to the Scioto County Jail, about 90 miles south of Columbus, on Tuesday.
Mr. Mosley had eluded police since September 2001, when he was supposed to begin serving an 11-year sentence for a street-racing crash. The wreck on Halloween night 1999 involved alcohol, said the investigating officer, David Richendollar, a trooper with the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Mr. Mosley's Ford Thunderbird was going at least 77 mph in a 55-mph zone, jockeying for position with another car on a two-lane state route, police say. His car went out of control and slid sideways into the front of an oncoming van. Three teens were ejected from Mr. Mosley's car and killed; the driver of the van and her 14-year-old son were seriously hurt.
In August 2000, a Scioto County jury convicted Mr. Mosley of three counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault. He was freed on $10,000 bond while his conviction was appealed. After his appeals were denied, he failed to report to court to begin serving his sentence late last summer, Trooper Richendollar said.
On Monday, Cincinnati Crime Stoppers alerted Trenton police that Mr. Mosley might be hiding out in Trenton. Police started investigating, and at least a half-dozen people called to provide information, Chief Hale said.
About 7:30 p.m. on Monday, an anonymous caller informed police that Mr. Mosley was planning to flee.
Officers staked out the Charles Street residence. They saw Mr. Mosley and a woman putting items in a vehicle, Chief Hale said.
Police forced entry to the house, and arrested Mr. Mosley about 11 p.m.
