Suspect in bank robberies jailed
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Cooperation between two police departments led to the arrest of a man in two bank robberies.
Jerome Price, 25, whose last known address was in Over-the-Rhine, faces two charges of aggravated robbery in holdups at Firstar Bank in Covedale on June 22 and a PNC Bank branch in Forest Park on July 3.
Of the 20 bank robberies in Cincinnati this year, 17 have been closed with arrests, said Capt. Vince Demasi, commander of the Cincinnati Police Department's Criminal Investigations Section.
He attributed the arrests in part to the recent reorganization of his department, which created a new financial crimes unit.
