Covington man shot
COVINGTON - A Covington man was in critical condition at University Hospital after he was shot in the head and found early Saturday morning in the middle of 13th Street.
The shooting victim, Mike Basey, 19, of the 300 block of Byrd Street, was unconscious when police arrived at the 200 block of 13th
Street at about 6 a.m., said Covington Police Sgt. Teal Nally.
Police continue to investigate. There were no witnesses to the crime, and police have no suspects, Sgt. Nally said.
