Man injured when plane flips on landing
The Cincinnati Enquirer
WAYNE TOWNSHIP - A 60-year-old Goshen man sustained a minor head injury Sunday when his small aircraft flipped as it was attempting a landing at a private airstrip in Clermont County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Paul R. Ritchey Jr. was operating a 1954 Cessna 180 and was returning from a trip to Middlesboro, Ky.
The nose of the aircraft was too low during landing, and the propeller and nose struck the ground. The aircraft then flipped onto its top.
The pilot was able to free himself.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m.
The Federal Aviation Administration was notified, the highway patrol said.
