Blue Ash planning commission names new member
By The Cincinnati Enquirer
BLUE ASH City Council appointed Lee Czerwonka, a self-employed marketing specialist and the former Fallsington Grant Homeowners Association president, to the city's planning commission at a Thursday session.
Mr. Czerwonka will replace Mark Reuszer, who did not seek reappointment after his four-year term expired.
He will be one of five members on the commission, which will have a say in how the city redevelops already-used land and what happens to the 226-acre Blue Ash Airport, now owned by the City of Cincinnati.
Cincinnati officials have talked about selling the property or establishing a joint economic development district with this northeastern Hamilton County suburb.
As the homeowners association president, Mr. Czerwonka helped the Fallsington Grant neighborhood recover from a devastating 1999 tornado that ripped through the Tristrate and caused millions in damage in Blue Ash, Montgomery and Sycamore and Deerfield townships. In Fallsington Grant, the twister blew apart one home and two condos.
