BOULDER, Colo. Colorado coach Gary Barnett has a new five-year contract worth up to $8 million. The university's board of regents voted 8-1 Thursday to approve the extension.
Officials would not release Barnett's updated contract, saying details, such as whether to include more language on the coach's responsibility for players and recruits, had not been finalized.
Barnett's annual package, which includes a $2 million payment if he stays five years, is worth $1.6 million. The contract runs through July 31, 2007.

Inductees include former Brigham Young quarterback Steve Young, Michigan receiver Anthony Carter, and Michigan State safety Brad Van Pelt.
