Man sets fire to home after domestic fight
COLERAIN TWP. - A 27-year-old Colerain Township man was arrested Monday evening after police say he set fire to an apartment after an altercation with his live-in girlfriend.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office charged Charles Jones, with aggravated arson, domestic violence and vandalism in the incident that occurred about 6:45 p.m.
According to the sheriff's office, Mr. Jones choked and threatened to kill Travecia Roberts, 27, during an altercation in the apartment they share on Hidden Meadows Drive. After Ms. Roberts was able to flee to a nearby residence, Mr. Jones set fire to their apartment, police said. Deputies apprehended Mr. Jones near the apartment complex.
The Colerain Township Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. No damage estimate was immediately available Monday night. No other units were damaged.T
