Two men indicted on rape charges
Two men were indicted Monday on charges of raping a woman in a University Heights apartment building elevator Aug. 16.
Feman Halbert, 28, of Lockland, and Joseph Janson, 21, of Mount Auburn, were each indicted on one count of rape and one count of complicity in the 4 a.m. assault on Ohio Avenue.
The woman told police she had met the men outside the apartment building earlier that night, and that she was sexually assaulted by both men after the three got into an elevator, Hamilton County Prosecutor Mike Allen said.
If convicted, each man could face up to 20 years in prison.
