MainStrasse Village Oktoberfest boasts music, German food, beer, craft booths and entertainment today from noon-9 p.m. in Covington as it concludes for the year. The 24th annual event is spread out over four city blocks, along the tree-lined Sixth Street promenade and Philadelphia Street, and extends into Goebel Park.
The crowds are looking good this year, said Donna Kremer, administrative coordinator of the MainStrasse Village Association. All our vendors seemed pleased with how their sales were going.
Organizers say they are anticipating a three-day crowd of between 150,000 and 175,000 people.
