LINCOLN HEIGHTS - A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged Saturday night with touching a 10-year-old girl sexually and offering to pay her to have sex with him.
Timothy D. Alexander, of the 1000 block of Adams Street, faces charges of gross sexual imposition and compelling prostitution of a minor.
The 10-year-old said Mr. Alexander offered her $200, then $300, for sex, police said. She refused and ran to her bedroom, but he tried to force his way into the room, according to the police report. Mr. Alexander also is accused of touching the girl.
Mr. Alexander is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center and will appear in court at 9 a.m. today.
