Wrong-way crash causes I-275 pileup
UNION TOWNSHIP - A 21-year-old woman drove the wrong way on northbound Interstate 275 for 12 miles Sunday night before hitting a vehicle head-on and causing an eight-vehicle pileup.
The crash occurred just after 8 p.m. on northbound I-275, south of Ohio 125 in Clermont County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Two people were airlifted to University Hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said. Other details on injured victims - including the woman, who was not identified - were not available Sunday night.
The vehicle entered the interstate at Beechmont Avenue traveling southbound in the northbound lanes about 7:58 p.m. and crashed.
