Charles Lee, who served in the Marine Corps Air Wing during the Lebanon crisis in 1958, refuses to let terrorists dictate his lifestyle.
Getting on a plane or going downtown doesn't worry me, the 64-year-old veteran said. I haven't changed my ways or my life. I go and do the same things that I have for the last 10 years. I don't want the terrorists to dictate anything that we do in this country.
On Wednesday, Mr. Lee joined six other representatives of the Lawler-Hanlon VFW Post 5662, Newport, for a ceremony at the World Peace Bell in Newport marking the one-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
