Hanover 36, Thomas More 3
Saints' regular-season win streak snapped at 17
HANOVER, Ind. - Justin Pelley passed for 267 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as Hanover beat thomas More 36-3 to snap the Saints' 17-game regular-season winning streak.
Hanover (2-0) intercepted five passes off the Saints' Scott Garver, including a school record-tying three interceptions by Eric Kluft.
The Panthers took a 10-3 lead at halftime after a 41-yard pass from Pelley to Jeffrey Jourdan and a career-long 43-yard field goal by Drew Starck.
Pelley added TD passes to Kurt Cantlon and Terrel Cummings in the third quarter and a 40-yard scoring pass to Jourdan in the final period.
Brett Dietz had a 39-yard touchdown pass to Nick Schmidt for Hanover's final score.
The only points for Thomas More (1-1) came on a 28-yard field goal by Jeff Runion late in the second quarter.
