HEBRON, KY. — The busiest terminal at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport was shut down for about 15 minutes Sunday after a suspicious item was detected during security checks.

Authorities refused to say what the item was.

The Delta/Comair terminal, which handles 92 percent of the airport's business, was shut down while authorities called the director of the Transportation Security Administration to check whether the item, which security checkers thought was forbidden, could be permitted on a plane, said Ted Bushelman, airport director of communications.
