Law firm donates $250,000 to Freedom Center
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center got $250,000 richer Thursday thanks to a donation from a Cincinnati law firm.
Waite, Schneider, Bayless & Chesley Co. LPA, announced the gift at a dinner hosted by the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati-Cincinnati Bar Association Round Table.
The gift was the second contribution of $250,000 the Freedom Center received at the banquet. Earlier in the evening, the law firm of Blank Rome Cominsky & McCauley LLP announced its donation.
The Freedom Center's capital campaign has raised $80 million of its $110 million goal.
It's my belief that the Freedom Center is so incredibly important at this time in our city's history, said lawyer Stan Chesley. I think that all law firms in our city should support it in a similar fashion.
