Amusement park closing week early
By The Cincinnati Enquirer
MONROE LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park will close a week early and no longer be operated by its current management team, the park's owner announced Monday.
Jerry Couch said his company, JACE Corp., which owns the park, and the operators, LeSourdsville Lake Management Group, based in Lancaster, Ohio, have parted ways.
He didn't say why or which party initiated the move.
Mr. Couch did say that his company hopes and anticipates that the park will reopen next year.
Park spokesman Mike Mefford said the season appeared to go well, despite the heat, but he had no additional information.
Mr. Couch said the operators had planned to stay open another week, but, as far as I was concerned, it was time to close anyway.
