Foley earns master's
Tara Foley got a master of education degree from Xavier University.
The daughter of Juanita and G. David Foley of Mount Carmel currently teaches fifth grade at Woodland School in the Lakota School District.
Sisters honored by two institutions
Sara Maur was named to the spring quarter dean's list of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Dayton, and Becca Maur was named to the spring quarter dean's list of the College of Communication of Ohio University.
They are the daughters of Harry and Denise Buttelwerth of Cleves.
Madeira club gives three scholarships
The Madeira Woman's Club has awarded their annual scholarships to the following residents:
Amber Kershaw, a Madeira High School graduate who plans to major in history and anthropology at Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Mass. She is the daughter of Pamela Brasey.
Daniel Miller, also a graduate of Madeira, majoring in aerospace and aeronautical engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. He is the son of Deborah and Gregory Miller.
June Reilly, the recipient of the adult continuing education scholarship, attends Northern Kentucky University majoring in secondary education. She maintains a 3.9 grade point average and will graduate after this year's studies. This is the fourth year Ms. Reilly received the award.
