Omnicare Inc. extends deadline

        Covington-based pharmacy management firm Omnicare Inc. on Friday said it was once again extending the deadline on its $83 million offer to buy Beachwood, Ohio-based NCS Healthcare Inc., which provides similar services, until Oct. 21.

        The company had previously said the deadline was Thursday.

        Omnicare is still embroiled in a battle over NCS. Kennett Square, Pa.-based Genesis Health Ventures, also a pharmacy management firm, is trying to buy NCS as well. Those two companies have entered into a purchase agreement.

        Omnicare has filed suit to stop that deal, and NCS has filed a countersuit.

       

        Comair to start flights to Erie

        Erlanger-based regional airline Comair on Friday said it would begin service between Cincinnati and Erie, Pa., Jan. 20.

        Comair said it would operate three daily flights between the two cities.

        Sysborne opens Cleveland office

        Sysborne LLC, Loveland-based reseller of voice, video and data communications equipment, has opened a Cleveland office. The new office joins sales offices here and in Columbus, giving the company statewide coverage.

        Hillman acquires Fastenal Co.

        The Hillman Cos., New Burlington-based supplier of hardware fasteners, has acquired the do-it-yourself fastener business of Minnesota-based Fastenal Co. for an undisclosed price. Fastenal said its FAS-N-IT and Anchor Wire businesses in Rockford, Ill., and Nashville, Tenn., have sales of about $2 million a month..
