FAIRBORN, Ohio — The Miami RedHawks defeated Air Force Academy 12-1 Friday night in the nightcap of the inaugural Lefty McFadden Inviational at the Nutter Center.

        Bowling Green defeated Niagara 4-1 in the opener. Miami and Bowling Green, both members of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, will meet in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. today. Air Force and Niagara play in the consolation game at 4:30 p.m.

        Miami's Vince Pulera, Nick Jardine, Pat Levendusky and Mike Kompon scored two goals each and Matt Medvecz, Greg Hogeboom, Todd Grant and Chris Michael one each.

        Senior goalie David Burleigh, who made 13 saves, recorded a Miami record 41st career victory.
