Stabbing victim, 75, released from hospital

        SPRINGDALE - A 75-year-old man stabbed in the parking garage of Tri-County Mall was transferred Saturday from Mercy Fairfield Hospital to University Hospital before being released.

        Donald Challinor of Greenhills was in a garage by Sears Roebuck and Co. about 11:30 a.m. Friday when a teenage girl stopped him and asked for directions before pulling a knife and stabbing him in the face, abdomen and hands.

        Springdale police said the girl, who has not been found, is black, 16 to 18 years old, 5-foot-2-inches with a thin build and short hair. She was last seen driving a red coupe toward East Kemper Road.
