ROSEMONT, Ill. - Kurtis Foster scored two goals and Andreas Karlsson finished with four assists to lead the reigning Calder Cup champions Chicago Wolves to a 7-4 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in the AHL season opener for both teams at Allstate Arena. Mike Weaver, Steve Maltais, Joe DiPenta, Mark Hartigan and Ben Simon also scored in the win for the Wolves, who eliminated the Ducks in the opening round of the playoffs last season en route to winning their first Calder Cup. Note: Right wing Rob Valicevic was named the fourth captain in Ducks history by coach Brad Shaw.
