Bristol's manager sentenced to prison

LEBANON A manager arrested after a five-month undercover investigation at Bristol's Show Club & Revue was sent to prison for six months Tuesday for attempting to promote prostitution.
Randy Trimble apologized to Judge P. Daniel Fedders and the Warren County community before he was sentenced. He said he became careless because he was preoccupied with a marital breakup and the support of his two young children.
I probably did let my guard down up there, Mr. Trimble said.
Judge Fedders scolded the 37-year-old Middletown man, alleging that he was heavily involved in illegal activity at the adult club off Ohio 63 in Monroe.
People are going to run this type of enterprise, this type of business. It's not illegal. But, it's a hotbed for illegal activity, the judge said.
Someone's got to take responsibility to supervise it. That was your job as a day manager. You participated in it. That won't be tolerated.
Judge Fedders also designated Mr. Trimble a sexually oriented offender, which requires him to report his address to sheriff's officials for the next decade.
Defense attorney Paris Ellis said he was stunned by the sentence, but plans to file for an early release in 30 to 60 days. Mr. Trimble qualified for probation because he did not have a serious criminal record before the raid on the adult club.
He was among more than 30 dancers, bartenders and other Bristol's employees arrested at the club last March for alleged prostitution, drug trafficking and liquor violations following a five-month investigation by the Warren County Drug Task Force.
Charged with two counts of promoting prostitution, Mr. Trimble pleaded guilty last month to a reduced felony charge of attempting to promote prostitution. Police alleged that he received bonuses for illegal sexual activity performed by the dancers.
Several prostitution cases are pending.
