Mulgrew cancels appearance

Actress and political activist Kate Mulgrew (Capt. Kathryn Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager, Mary Ryan on Ryan's Hope) has canceled her Cincinnati appearances today because of a family emergency.

Her visit was to include a visit to Xavier University, a tour of Over-the-Rhine with vice mayor Alicia Reece, meetings with domestic violence support groups and a Star Trek dinner tonight at J Alexander's.

The event will be rescheduled if Ms. Mulgrew's schedule permits, said spokeswoman Alliea Phipps.
