TV pick: Hi, Bob! Set the VCR to catch the best of The Bob Newhart Show, as TV Land airs eight episodes about Dr. Bob Hartley (Bob Newhart) and his wacky patients (8 p.m.-midnight).

Critic John Kiesewetter also says the NBA season tips off with the first of ESPN's weekly Wednesday doubleheaders, Washington Wizards with Michael Jordan at Toronto Raptors (7 p.m.), and L.A.. at Portland (9:30 p.m.).

Critic's choice: Tori Amos has a new label for her Scarlet's Walk (Sony; $18.98), also available in a special package with a DVD ($24.98).

There's sizable buzz around Eminem's feature film debut, 8 Mile, which gets an audio preview this week with the release of the soundtrack (Interscope; $19.98) featuring the star, along with Dr. Dre, Macy Gray, Jay Z and Nas.

The most influential band of the '90s is back with Nirvana (Universal; $18.98), a best-of collection featuring "You Know You're Right."
