HAMILTON - A Middletown man has been convicted of his fourth domestic violence charge plus six other offenses relating to a July incident at Middletown police headquarters.
A Butler County Common Pleas jury Tuesday found Victor B. Moore, 33, guilty as charged on six counts: felony domestic violence, felonious assault of a police officer, failure to comply with a police officer's order, resisting arrest and intimidation of a crime victim or witness.
The jury also convicted him of a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reduced from a felony charge of grand theft auto.
Barbara Schneider Carter, an assistant prosecutor who handled the case, said the jury deliberated about four hours before reaching its decision.
Ms. Carter said cases of repeat domestic violence "need to be taken seriously, and I think the jury did that."
Mr. Moore faces up to 19 years in prison. Judge Keith Spaeth has set sentencing for Dec. 12.
