Broccolini is the trademarked name for a cross between broccoli and Chinese kale. Also called baby broccoli, the bright green vegetable has long, slender stalks topped with tiny buds. Broccolini has a crunchy texture and sweet, slightly peppery flavor. Stir-fry or braise (like broccoli) until barely tender and season with garlic and/or fresh ginger.
