The Cincinnati Enquirer
SPRINGFIELD TWP. - A Lakewood, Ohio, man is facing a string of felony charges after Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies and Cincinnati police officers say he arranged to have sex with what he thought was a 14-year-old boy.
Jeffrey L. Robinson, 46, is charged with one court of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of importuning, both felonies. He was arrested about 9 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Kemper Road.
Mr. Robinson for about a year had been conversing in internet chat rooms and over the telephone with a special deputy posing as a 14-year-old boy, deputies said.
During the conversations, Mr. Robinson arranged to meet the "boy" for a sexual encounter, deputies said.
They said he had gotten a hotel room before his arrest.
